Meet the Team
President
Tracy Murray
Tracy Murray is the City of Chicago, BACP’s Chi-Business Center Coordinator at
Calumet Area Industrial Commission-CAIC located in Pullman. Tracy is rooted in the
Pullman community, having worked for 9th Ward Alderman/Chairman Anthony Beale
where she developed a passion for community organizing and outreach, and a
commitment to spearheading sustainable initiatives. Tracy earned a Bachelor’s of
Administration in Accounting from Robert Morris University in 2022 and she is LEED GA
certified. She also serves as a Steering Committee member for Illinois Clean
Transportation and as Treasurer of the Historic Pullman Empowerment Organization,
which she co-founded.
In her free time, Tracy engages in community events across the city, and enjoys
teaching local neighbors, especially children, about the importance of sustainability and
energy efficiency.
Treasurer
Fylinda Wiley
Fylinda Wiley is a life-long Chicago resident who grew up in Auburn Gresham and moved to the Pullman
community in 1988. She is currently a Maintenance Worker with the Pullman National Historical Park,
an apprentice grower with Urban Growers Collective, a trainee with the University of Illinois Extension
Master Gardener Program and a member of Historic Pullman Empowerment Organization. She is also a
graduate of City Colleges of Chicago. In addition to gardening, she enjoys traveling and spending time
with her family.
Vice President
Alexa Lawson
Pullman is a neighborhood that resounds with her mission: connecting with others to embrace their humanity and utilizing the collective power of community for justice. Alexa’s life has been centered on service at the local, national, and global level; her work building a school in Nicaragua is one of her proudest accomplishments.
Alexa also volunteers with numerous other organizations in Pullman and beyond. This past summer, she worked with the National Park Service (NPS) in their debut of the Pullman Summer Explorers program and continues to participate in achieving the goals of the Historic Pullman Empowerment Organization (HPEO), such as providing youth chess club opportunities. Outside of our neighborhood, Alexa is a long-time contributor to the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk, member of the buildOn movement (buildon.org), ambassador for Outdoorsy Black Women (outdoorsyblackwomen.com), and even has her own podcast titled Giving You Your Flowers.
Secretary
Felisia Wesson
Felisia is lawyer and executive with a career focused primarily in not-for-profit organizations, corporations, and Chicago City and Cook County governments. Serving as a former staff member to Alderman Anthony Beale, she developed an interest in and commitment to the Pullman community. Felisia is a member of the Illinois Bar, and is graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D.) and Yale University (B.A., History).
In her free time Felisia enjoys yoga, cooking and travel.
